The military serves to protect the constitutional rights of Americansa€"the core of our nation. Service members and their families make great sacrifices for this purpose alone. However, few realize that the military has an entirely different criminal justice system than its civilian counterpart, a system that is stacked against those who serve and protect. Service members who find themselves caught within it are often ambushed by a system that denies them some of the most basic rights and fundamental protections those service members fight for on a daily basis. Military Injustice is an easy-to-read explanation of the military justice system, a candid examination of its flaws by a former Marine judge advocate, and suggested corrections to that system to ensure that those who serve have their rights protected in the same way that the rest of America does.
