"The New Cambridge English Course" is a four-level course for learners of English. Level 4 takes learners from intermediate to a good upper-intermediate standard (approximately at the level of the Cambridge First Certificate). It can be used with learners who have studied previous levels of the course, or as an independent upper-intermediate course. The "Practice Book" is an integral part of the course, reinforcing, extending and consolidating work done in class with the Student's Book. It provides extra practice on language forms, functions and skills, including optional listening exercises (in conjunction with the Student's Cassette). Translation exercises provide learners with the opportunity to relate English to their first languages. The "Practice Book" contains a comprehensive Language Summary - a concise reference guide covering all the major grammatical and functional points taught or revised in Level 4 of "The New Cambridge English Course". There is also a self-study Basic Grammar Revision section at the back of the book which provides optional further practice of points of grammar covered earlier in the course. The Key at the back of this edition gives answers to the exercises. The Practice Book is also available without the answer key.
